His face kinda looks like it's been modelled from the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The rest looks well moulded though.

    A very interesting bust, and a face with character;
especially the nose. I really like the tonal variation
of the shadow and highlight areas.

I have not seen that flick but to me he his face looks exactly like that of every cop I have had the pleasure of meeting due to my own stupidity ;} .

Very nice but I think the sucking lemons face is a little too much. I prefer a bit more restrained expression. But overall I think its really a nice bust.

OK, I know I've been scarce around these parts, and I DON'T want to start some sort of shit-storm here, so I'm simply speaking from my graphic design background here. The face doesn't bother me at all, but the image of the train behind the bust in these images does nothing but make me think of a train headed to Dachau. Even if the image has nothing to do with that (maybe he's moving soldiers along onto the train or whatever), that was my immediate, gut reaction to it. As well as my wife's when I showed it to her. Maybe not the best choice of images to advertise your new release with. Just thinking out loud a little.....

    Jay ,
THANK YOU for your comments , you are right it is actually a troop train in the background but on looking I agree regarding your comments , I have asked Linjo to remove and replace the background , I will then edit the post with new pictures .

The website will obviously also be amended as well

This is what PF is about ................ thanks again to you and your wife from me and Linjo .

Playing Devils advocate here but part of figure modelling involves history and the Holocaust happened. I didn't even give train a second thought after seeing the troops along with it, but now you've mentioned it I think it's quite poignant and an important issue to remember all those poor souls. It didn't shock or sicken me nor did I feel abhorred. because I've read lots of books and testimonies from the people who were there and loads of these highlight the fact that they feel it's important the world learned from the Holocaust to prevent something similar happening again.

Shouldn't we be banning all the german figures and busts because it might make people think of all the horrible things that actually happened during the war?
Should we have not seen Carls excellent diorama with the wee girl in the Red Coat?
Should we blanket ban historical figures such as Caesar because he killed and murdered a hell of a lot more people?
    Ghengis Khan
    Napoleon
    Vlad the Impaler
    Hitler
    Stalin
    etc
    etc
    etc

Just take the bust, seat in the rear....
    Nice sculpture, nice work
face painting for me is overdone, looks like zooming the head of a flat 30mm where overdoing is justified because of the size
I think that more and more peoples take lesson in painting at Games Workshop; remember those are 25mm, they need flagrant contrast . But I know it's a trend . Not my taste .

Nap, I hope I didn't cause too much of a ruckus. These look great, and for what it's worth from a graphic standpoint, I think even better than above because we can focus on the bust without the distraction of the images in the background.

    Jay,
Thanks for pointing your impression out ..most welcome by both myself and Linjo , I actually am even more pleasedwith the way the bust looks on the plain background as like you said no distraction from the bust .

In respect of the painting comment by Mirofsoft ...everyone has their own style and how they approach a model .

    Thanks to all
