Couldn't think of any cool names for this guy so just calling him what he is. Alexandros Models made a really fun bust to paint with this one. The hat was broken when I bought him in Atlanta and I did a poor job in repairing it because all I really wanted to do was paint that face. I regret it now because I now like the whole figure. Let me know what you think.

Great job on this one. I was following the WIP on CMON. You've got an interesting approach. The different tones in the skin turned out very nice and the whole model looks great. I picked this one up a few weeks ago to add to my collection of Napoleonics waiting for paint. It's such a great looking kit, can't wait to start on it.

    Excellent piece Mike.
Couldn't you get at the crack with some wet & dry?

Thanks for checking him out guys, I appreciate it. It's nice to see that the WIP was enjoyed too, maybe I should do one here soon?

I don't know what wet & dry is Mr Barton.

Abrasive paper Mike, that can be used either wet or dry.o_O
It's less aggressive wet, so you can get a smoother finish.

Mike - shame about the hat because I really like the way you painted it. Most bicornes I have seen are the colour you portray and too often they are painted blue - grey. That is an A1 bust and paint job!

That's smooth Mike, real smooth (y)! Too bad about the hat, but who is to say that L'Empereur didn't accidently sit on his hat at least once.

Well done. I can definitely see the color coming thru on the base coat.

    Beautiful work Mike!!!
For what it's worth, I'm almost finished a four volume novel/biography by Max Gallo on the Little Big Man. According to eyewitness accounts, he was know to display his anger or frustration by flinging his hat on the ground and kicking it about like a pissed off five year old who didn't get an ice cream cone
Bonus points for historical accuracy

Very nice Mike, love the work around the eyes, there is some nice simple shading around there and a touch of red/pink that makes them very lifelike.

Excellent work Mike. I've had reservations about Alexandros figures due to poor fitted parts but I love what you've done with this. I may have to pick it up myself.
    Thanks.
