Other possibilities include London Scottish and kilted Canadian regiments also a South African regiment (Can't remember which one) if you want to paint something a little different.

What scale is it? 75mm? It looks like a Thistle Miniature. If it is, it's probably a Gordon Highlander WWI.

    Hi Dennis

I just measured the eye level, it is between 65mm and 70mm.

Can not combine it with my 75mm figures, crap.

Thanks a lot, for info .

    Cheers

It is difficult to tell but but if you look closely at the small amount of kilt showing you may see the thin light stripes. This means it could be Gordon or Seaforth Highlanders.

Its really the Thistle Miniatures Gordon Highlander. I painted it several years ago and, I think it´s hard to get today, because Thistle gave up business long time ago.

It is the Thistle Miniatures Gordon Highlander; I had one in my grey army not that long ago, but made the unfortunate desicion to sell it off.

There's a tactical or regimental flash showing on the right forearm, methinks. Might be worth investigating that to see who he represents...

At last, he´s a Lance Corporal. On the left arm you can see two good conduct chevrons and two wound stripes. Wound stripes are instituted only in 1916 and overseas service stripes in 1918.
So I painted my figure as a LC of the 1/7 Gordon Highlanders, 51. (Highland) Div. Teritorial Force at the western front 1918.
The best source for these signs ( in my opinion) is the Osprey book "British Battle Insignia (1) + (2) 1914-1918 by Mike Chappell.

    Cheers Thomas
