About tattoos - actually I did some research, and found out that there was no evidence the Continental Celts tattooed themselves or painted designs on their bodies (many thanks to Gary Gates from Medrom forum).
So, this time I went rather for historical accuracy.
Anyway, I'm glad you like it.

Great paintwork, I love the skintones.
And I like the high grade of authencity, following the archeological evidence. No tatoo needles found, no representation by the celts themself, no mention ever from greek or roman contemorary authors. Even the stripes on the trousers follows more the findings than the ever present tartan schemes. Latene findings of woolen material is nearly completely striped, not chequered. The only thing which does not follow the finds is the belt. The helmet dates this figure in the Middle La Tene Period, in which sword belts where made from heavy chain.

Very nice work Simon. Simple yet effective groundwork.
