I wouldn't worry about the photos, your painting more than makes up for it.
    Lovely work Gerard,

    Hi!

Many thanks for sharing this nice painting with us, i think one of the best that I already saw.(y)
    Please allow me a suggestion:
According your nameplate, the Pea dot camo / guisantes como ustedes lo llaman en España did not exist in 1941.

    Dear Gerard.

Excelent painting job...the pea dot pattern is very good...the weathering on the binoculars is amazing!

...the flesh tones are astonishing...by the way, did you use oils?

...in time,Pedro Souza is correct...this pattern there was no in 1941...anyway, one of the best works that I´ve ever seen!

    Regards!

    Luiz.

Thanks for the observation Pedro and Luiz..I didn't realised that I typed a wrong year. 1944 should be more accurate.. Besides, binoculars painted in dark yellow -dunkelgelb- didn't appear until 1943.
    I used acrilics only.

    Gerard ,
Really nice work , like the peak of the cap ..regarding the date if its not 1941 (as per the pea dot) then the nameplate needs sorting !!! apart from that a pleasure to see especially the fleashwork.
