The Historical Miniature Society of Northeastern Oklahoma (HMSNEO) is pleased to announce that a figure workshop featuring Jason Green is now open for seating. The workshop will take place on Thursday May 31st and Friday June 1st at the Wyndham Hotel in Tulsa and in conjuction with the 2012 Tulsa Show. The Wyndham is the same hotel that the Tulsa Show has been for the past several years and the show be on Saturday June 2. The workshop will consist of eight hours of hands on instruction on each of the two days for a total of sixteen hours. The medium is acrylic; the subject is the Thunderbird Miniatures bust of Winston Churchill as a young man in the dress uniform of the Fourth Hussars. The fee for the workshop is 175.00, which will go toward funding the Tulsa show. A total of fifteen seats are available. Seating reservations or questions can be made by leaving me a PM here on PlanetFigure; by contacting me at angrysteve@cox.net, or by contacting Mike Davidson at mike@thehussar.com or at the Hussar via phone at (918) 492-3559, 10a-6p CST. Reservations can be made by the above means but will not guarantee the seat until the fee is paid not later than 1 April 2012. Check or money order are the preferred method of payment. The figure, a working base and a display base as well as paint will be provided. The figure will be provided assembled and primed. Brushes are the responsibility of the attendees and the use of quality brushes is required. A packet with all necessary information for participation will be sent once payment has been received. Finally we would like to thank PlanetFigure owner and operator Gordy Stronach for helping us plan this event by sharing his experiences with the St. Louis workshop last September. Big help Gordy!
