    Hello all;

    First of all all the best wishes for 2012.

    I'm an absolute noob when it comes to figures but willing to learn.
    I found out this is a way of getting peace and rest after a busy day and want to continue to learn.
    My other hobby's are moddeling, music (vinyl), books and WWII.

    I've been surfing for a bit on this forum, and man, oh man........................

    If only I could meet half the standard most of the painters have.
    I've seen a lot af really beautifull work here.

    Got a lot of learning to do.:unsure:

    Welkom Gerrit.
    Schilder je met olie of acryl???
    De dichtstbijzijnde figurenshow is op 3 en 4 maart in Antwerpen.
    Kijk is op onze site (ik ben wel Nederlander) maar ben lid van de AMSS.
    Heb je vragen, stel ze, er is hier genoeg kennis aanwezig.

    Dear Gerrit,

    Welcome to the planet ! You can and will improve your painting skills just by........
    doing it and when your not satisfied with the result: doing it over and over again. :D:D:D
    Even I am pleased with the result of my painting now and than, and that only took me about 20 years.

    Almere? That’s not to far from Hilversum. Found yourself a nice modelling club yet?

    Met groet,
    Eric

    Thanks all.

    @megroot;
    Marc;
    Dit figuur is geschilderd met Vallejo maar ik il een stapje verder en ben voorzichtig aan het nadenken over olieverf voor de verdere afwerking.

    This figure is painted with acrylics from Vallejo.
    But I 'm looking forward with caution to step it up a bit and put on some oils.

    @Eric;
    A song comes to mind by reading your reply.
    Over and over again, with the pain in my heart, etc.etc.
    I know I will have to learn this by repeting. So, let do that.

    Almere is not far from Hilversum indeed. Lived there for the first 20 years of my life.
    After that I wandered around for a bit, met this girl from Kortenhoef, got married and moved to Almere.
    And when it comes to a moddeling club, I'm one of the moderators of the biggest one in the Netherlands.;)
