Nice face & nice sculpting but I think I'd have to add some more cloth over the boobs!(not that I don't mind looking at boobs though!)

    Hi Guys,

Certainly a nice sculpt , helmet is very classical and will present some interesting painting challenges .

Face looks pretty , nice work on the hair and the cloak .....

though I have to agree with Jimbo about covering over the "naughty" bits .......certainly think that it would make it more presentable ...IMHO of course .

Like to see the box art on this ...will she have tribal markings on wonder ?

To me, the face may have been modeled after actress Laura Prepon.[IMG]

Hey Mark I hope you are just looking at her eyes! I agree with Sky 303 she does look as if she is modelled on Laura Prepon. I wonder if she would get her gear out so members could compare?

I dont know if anyone noticed, but it is a very nice Figure. The word Bust just seemed so wrong!

Great figure but Jimbo,Nap and Carl, what is the problem with the nudity? I'm serious,is it a question of historical accuracy ,using nudity to sell goods or simply the nudity that bothers you.I do not understand.

    Hi
I think the nudity gives the option of either a historical or fantasy
Boudicca .... either way neither is right or wrong

Though would think if she went into battle bare chested ... it would have been noted ... and reported by Tacitus ... rather depends if it was a cold day ... back in AD 61 .... just some thoughts

As I said earlier I like this piece and plan on getting a casting

Nudity doesn't bother me in the slightest Ian.:sneaky: I don't know if she had them out historically, or is it a cheap marketing ploy.

The nudity doesn't bother me per se, I just don't need it on a figure that'll be displayed for all to see. I also very much doubt if Boudicca went into battle with her boobs on display or wearing a horned helmet.

There are very good figures available from EVD and this wouldn't necessarily put me off this one - I've recently completed the Prehistoric Witch, with the addition of some wrapping on certain parts of the anatomy.

Why I could not live at this time, the women are all running around with bare breasts and the men were all bodybuilders.

I agree totally with Carl. I think EVD have missed out on a golden opportunity to produce a more historically accurate "Queen". I am a big fan of this period i.e. Britain and the Roman invasion, however a Queen flashing in public before battle - I will have to put this down to semi-fantasy - fantasy. I am sure this bust will prove popular amongst painters and that is also great and I have no problem with this. I do look forward to seen painted versions of it including the box art. I will be getting this bust at some stage but will need to get the putty out to modify it to my liking. (y)

Ian..don't get me wrong!..Nudity don't bother me in way at all! I have a few female figures in my collection showing more then just their boobs! I just think that this particular historical female would look better more covered up, I must say I don't know which are more pointed the horns on her helmet or the ones on her chest?...just my opinion!
The figure is fine, the sculpting looks very good and she has a very nice face, I just said if I purchased it I'd most likley cover up her female bits...a bit.
    Cheers
    Jimbo
