I got started on this one a few days ago. I'm going for a very leathery, sun beaten skin tone (thinking David Dickinson). It is all painted with acrylics and I think the face is just about done the rest has a long way to go.
let me know what you think and if I've missed something or altering needs doing on the face.

Thanks for looking and feel free to critique,
    Andrew.

That is indeed a sun beaten face. Great skin, and the eyes has some life in them.

A great start Andrew. I have this one myself and the face is harder to paint than it looks. It is hard for him not to look a bit effeminate. No problem in this case though. You have made him look really weather beaten and tired. I look forward to seeing how this turns out. (y)

    Thanks guys.
John your right I think it's the high eyebrows and tilt of the head that can make him a little effeminate, he must do some manscaping on those eyebrows.

Thanks Neil, yes it is all reaper acrylics.

Great skin tones. I believe that you really captured the sun tanned skin.
