WIP French Infantry Officer Circa 1870

    Hi Guys ,
    Here is a EVD bust that has been floating around my bench for a while , my mate Jimbo extended the torso slightly .

    Mainly an exercise in Blues and NMM but looking back I did enjoy the painting ....

    If I was to do it again I would put a medal on him !!!!

    Painted using Acrylics and Water soluable Oils


    Still a few final things to do , the epaulette and buttons are NMM( and look better in real life ....sort of!!!) , this was going to be a SBS but moving house got in the way !!!!

    Waiting a suitable base and nameplate as well !!!!

    Did you paint the epaulette with non metalic paint???
    As you write before. a SBS with that technique will be very welcome.

    Hi Kevin,

    Great job mate. Lovely colours on the uniform. I think the mouth could do with some shading between the lips to help define them a bit better.
