Howdy all! This is a recently complete 75mm flat. It's engraved on both sides and mounted on a small wood block so both sides can be seen. It's painted with Reaper Master Series Acrylics. The Little Tin Soldier is translating the piece as Corset Girl, but I'm told that 'Meider' is closer to 'bodice'.

Thanks everyone. The pinup and scantily-clad-warrior-babe (SCWB) flats do appeal to me due to their expanded palette. My main interest is 54mm medieval rounds. so these are a bit of a break. And it is quite flat - it's all lighting and makeup. Just like Hollywood.

The sheer fabric on her tush (and the stockings) was one part paint, three parts Reaper Sealer, and three parts distilled water. All applied in one go to avoid overlapping (and more opaque lines). I used a wide brush.

The Little Tin Soldier has a couple more in this series that I want to get. Next month maybe; I have to finish off Mil-Mart's demi-round Fantasy Warrior Girl and when this 100+ degree weather breaks, I have to do some suspension work on an MGB.

A "Mieder" (note the spelling) could be the german word for the french corsage (which is also used) if it is worn in that way. It's also called a Korsett (like corset). Buta bodice, when worn on top, is also called a "Mieder". Mieder for a Corsage oder Korsett is a somewhat stuffy word. Mieder for a bodice is perfect.

Thanks Hans. I do think 'Corset' is a better word (and I can spell it). This just goes to show that the figure painting hobby is lacking a key reference book: 'Lingerie Design and Terminology for Miniatures'.

Thanks Ken! I didn't know what to do with her rear end at first. The corset ends above her cheeks, but the leg bands are still there. I'n not sure if that was by accident or design. Eventually I settled on sheer material. What's a little tush among friends, eh? I'm still plugging away on your SCWB.
