    Hi everyone,
after 2 years out of the Miniature world,a newborn and new job i am back and for good ;-).
I was working on what it seems to be a lifelong project:the battle of Yorktown.
I am rethinking my strategy and decided to make little dioramas rather than 4 giant pieces that link together as a battlefield.
I really like the history of uniforms, their changes and evolution.
I decided to represent the french infantry of the American war of Independence.
Normally i find that is really hard to get figures from this specific era (french infantry)so i bought quite a few figures from Modelles &Allures from France, they are based on the 1760's uniform before the famous 1774 complete standarization on the french infantry uniformology.
Here's a rendition of 3 fusiliers of the Saintonge Infantry.
One of the figures is still wearing the 1776 "colorful" uniform ,this was change in 1779 but some units in America due to months of delay did not receive the complete uniforms.

Hi Daniel. I really like your vignette, for the subject, the uniforms and the presentation. I know the brand Modelles & Allures from France, they are of a scale slightly larger than the standard 54mm. I don´t know what figures have you used to recreate the "fusiliers" but I'm looking and I see that all details are correct and correspond to the 1776-1779 regulations. The U.S. War of Independence is one of my favorite periods in terms of uniforms.
    Great job.(y)
