Beautiful paintwork Konstantisn, I like specially the metals and the drawing of shield. You´ve recreated very well the horse, giving a primitive taste to it.
The symbol close to the horse is very usual in many old cultures. Can you tell something about it?

About horse: I realy tried to draw it,to say,in a "childe style",because drawing,as you mentioned, in ancient times wasn't so technical...
at first I drew silhouette with pencil,then marked hourse with brown-red, outlining the borders of drawing with dark-brown and finaly I added some highlights.

Thank you very much Sergey and Konstantin for the ilustration, you´ve painted with highest fidelity. Curious, you make the drawing using a pencil, however, I always draw in the shields with brush.
I asked before about the symbol in the shield, beacouse we here in the Basque Country, have one very similar.

Edorta, pencil,as You understood,then completely covered with paint.I use it,course its easy erased in case of some mistakes.
about meaning of this hourse symbol, unfortunately, I have no information...

In ancient Greek culture, horses were associated with the god Poseidon. He is supposed to have created the horse and sometimes even changed into one. In one version of the legend, he was in a contest with the goddess Athena to provide the greatest gift to mankind. Poseidon invented horses, Athena invented the olive tree...and won.

Some of the gods and heroes had immortal horses too. They were mostly offspring of the wind gods or were created by Poseidon.

Hey Harry. Thank you very much for your mythologic clarification . Always good to delve a little into the history and meaning of things. I think both, modellers as painters, recreating the story, we give to our activity also a cultural value, not just artistic.
