    Hi everyone,

Here is a bust I just finished:

The kit consists of 4 elements, the bust, stand, and two heads (two different ages).

No worries about quality, it seems to me excellent, just a few bubbles to plug into the socket and hair to burn the place of the core behind the head.

I would paint version "young" .

Thual, fascinating kit with the two head aged option :)

One critique would be the skin tones are bit monotone and could use some highlights and shadows :)

Thank you Gordy, I am very agree with you, I still have many difficulties to score more contrast.

I understand very well Ernesto, I'm sorry to annoy you with this figure. The bust does not do parties for my personal taste, but a gift for a friend.

I'm in agreement with Gordy, it could do with some variety in skin tone. I know that you didn't do the casting, but why put the pouring plug right down the hair? Surely it would have been better from the neck.

For me you did a good paint work, I'm agree with Gordy about the lights and shadows, but as I said, manufactures shouldn't produce this kind of characters, specially this one, cause he still alive and fu#%^ people who don't like this kind dictators, here in my country we are suffering too much with Castro's dog "el perro de Fidel" and we know how is this crazy dog, more than a dog a red Gorilla.

    Thank you for your messages,

I'm sorry Carl, but with the translator I can not understand your answer.

Ernesto, I'm really confused, would you prefer that I remove my subject. I took you to apologize.

Ernesto is expressing his extreme dislike for Castro Samy, this happens occasionally with the SS/Nazi/Hitler topics as well, with the exception Castro is still alive (although the end is near for him), and his actions are far spread (beyond Cuba).

I saw a bust of Stalin on here ,which was universally praised for it's scuptural qualities and the artists's painting prowess. This of a person who makes Castro look like an amateur...I don't think personalities should be removed because of their history of horror.
I believe Ernesto has a perfect right to hate him for personal reasons....and I have many Cuban friends in NJ who feel exactly the same...rightly so. And also some who were not too pleased with JFK, either.
    I hope the figure isn't removed; and I respect Ernesto's feelings 100%.
As a miniature, I too, think it is fascinating and innovative as a young/old version of the dictator; and a fine sculpt.

NO way Samy, this is just my expression about this person (not your work), everyone could post whatever they want, but as I said before Fidel Castro is not for me the right guy, but please Samy don't remove this post.

Yes Gordy, spread to Venezuela right now and we have 12 years with a crazy president emulating the same political Castro's ideologist, as you said hope his end is near, maybe his death all ready but his ideal still alive right here in Venezuela with Chavez.

Ernest I understand your feelings 100%. I answered you in anather thread and I will do it again. I run a small company ademola and I decided to add Castro to ademola's products . Castro was sculpted for a collector who first wanted him young and then old. After the work was finished he changed his mind so I told myself why not make Castro comercial. I did not know what to do with the bust. I'm sorry Ernest that the bust hurts your feeling but still we can not run away from reality. I understand you because I was born and raised in Poland under Russian ocupation. Many people died at that time. We could only pray for freedom and there was nothing that would help us untill we understood our stregth as a nation. But I don't mind to see a Stalin bust, a Bierut bust or a Gierek bust until it is well sculpted. You must accept that the world is not only the struggle of one nation and even the worst personalities are part of history. You must understand what Germany did to Poland, should I cry or pull my hair with anger because someone made a Hitler bust. This is not gloryfication this is history to remember the good but also the bad.
