I voted, but I would not make for a good judge. There are simply too many excellent sculpts to choose from. Unless one sculpts, which I don't, how does one go about selecting "the best figure." Surely, there must be some subjectivity involved. How do you get around it?

It is tough they are all excellent choices, 2010 was a great year for figure releases!

I agree, tough choice to make! And of course, there are some that I would like to have seen in the list, but you gotta make cuts somewhere ;)

    Prost!

The people who created these works of art have more talent in a finger than I can dredge up from my entire being. How do I make a rational judgment as to which is better than another?

Ok, I have voted. The only justification I can muster for my choice was that the subject touched me somehow. It was absolutely not based on perceived painting or sculpting talent; after looking at each at least a dozen times in my eyes all were equal in those areas. I therefore had to base my choice on the one that made me feel a certain something. I would imagine the majority of voters will do the same, so whomever should "win" will do so by virtue of the subject itself and the sentiment it elicits as opposed to any displayed painting or sculpting talent. A hearty congratulations and 'well done' to all who were nominated!

    Hello everybody,
It's me one of the 3 winners of Planetfigure FotY2010.That was very nice for me to find that there are these kind of competitions on the worldwide net. It's even better to know that it happens on the most well known miniaturistic forum on the planet !The 3 winners have to be the producer, sculptor and painter, but I have to say there is a 4th one, the administrator of this forum, Sir Gordy who reach to us with any information or attention we ask here. So, let me tell you that I think the next year competition has to be even more though because I' ve seen a lot of very, very good figures at the moment.I feel happy to know you this way and I guess it's even better to meet each one of you in the real life, but as much as possible let's give life to this forum in every way,
    My best,
    Paul
