    Not sure about the boots tbh.
    However I would like to know how he got the effect of the wood on the rifle it's awesome. Is there a link to this guys painting technique or any sbs he has?

    lovely aspect the butt rifle up attitude,the painting of the Schichtholzschaft is phantastic.i have one which has exactly the same honey colour.it was made by fine wooden layeres glued with phenols an kind of resins.this because germany had not longer enough pure wood available to make the rifles wooden armatures.
    like the bust very much and would buy it anytime

    Man, WWII is not my first period of historical interest ( love Civil War, Napoleonics, Rev War) , but I can most certainly say that this is one niffty looking kit. Love the detail: Boots in belt, rifle butt, face, and details on the coat, and attention to fine details on the accoutrements. Man, if only Young Miniatures would consider doing a Civil War subject? However, I must say this one bust is something to be admired and painted...One too many episodes of Combat and too many issues of Sgt Rock and Sgt Fury cause me to like this offering big time...
