    Hi all,

I've finally been able to complete the shield and mount my Zulu (interupted by the hand surgery some months back)

Positive crit's are always appreciated and yes, I noticed with the pictures that I need to adjust an eye

    Thanks

    Hi Guy!

Thanks!! Had a grand time painting this one!!

Sarge, the kit is Miniature Alliance (Warrior Class). Good kits but be incredibly careful removing the sprue / plugs from the weapons... I had a devil of a time and made repairs to both the spear and rifle.

Great work Kevin. Isn't the battle called "Isandlwana" rather than "Islawanda". Either way very impressive.

Kevin - Looks great! Almost bought this figure when it came out. You have done a really good job with it. I dont see the eyes being off, but maybe its my eyes that are off.

    Brad and all,

Thanks much! Thanks for looking and your kind comments!

Tony....DANG... Now I have to buy another plaque! :p I checked my spelling by way of Google before getting the plate made and looked again after your message and...and dang if they don't spell it both ways. Your spelling is correct but if you google it (as I did with my spelling) all kinds of inforegarding the battle comes up using the wrong spelling..... weird.

So, anyway, thank you much for the correction and I really plan to change the plate.

    Thanks all!

Nicely done Kevin a great piece this indeed, you are correct there Tony - should be correctly Isandhlwana (with or without the "H" will check), the zulu language is quite unique in this regard and always a bit tricky - I was fortunate a few years back to walk the whole route of the battle and subsequent retreat from the ridge to the river - very interesting indeed. There is also a old soldiers organisation - M.O.T.H that has a museum in it's meeting hall of its own there that has artifacts gathered from the battle, the Anglo/Boer war and both WW1 & 2 that is much visited by many from overseas in the little town of Dundee. KZN. :)

    A wonderful ZULU soldier.
I liked the fresh tone very much.
I was thinking I'd like to buy this figure, too.
    I congratulate completion.
