The last months I'm very busy at work and at home with the kids and other stuff. So I hardly had any time to paint or spent here on the forum but finally I could finished this figure. The base still has to be replaced with a proper one. I added some mud and blood stains on the surcoat and chain mail. I also tried to add some melting snow to the groundwork.
I used different white tones for the shield, surcoat and gloves to prevent a monotone look.

It's a 54 mm figure sculpted by Steve Readdie and completely painted with acrylics. Except for the metals of the helmet and axe these are done with Gunze.

Thanks for looking and all comments or critiques are welcome!

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

Marcel just noticed on your blog that he was finished and have to say i never thought this figure would look so good, you have really done a first class job on it mate and to be honest it wasnt the best sculpt in the world for you to work on which just reflects your skill with the brush`s,

I really like your new photography method, very nice.

    All the best mate,

I like that work, but forgive me, I think the upper Torso is a bit too short.
    What do you mean?
Maybe it is on the pics..
    But your paintjob is delicious.
I dont like Acrylics and wonder how to paint with them..

Tommi, Pedro, Carl, Mike, Roger, Steve, Mitsutaka, Engin, Stephan, Marc, David, Stefano, Ken, Simon, Maurizio, Gino and Peter Thanks a lot for the great comments, well appreciated!

Steve: Well, you are not as good (yet) as an Laruccia for example so I didn´t expect a superb sculpture. My paintwork isn´t either world class. Still a lot of room for improvements. But it was fun to paint and second it´s a one original figure. Well if you are satisfied with the paintjob in the end I will be very happy.

Stephan: The upper torso is a bit bulky but I don´t have the impression it´s really too short.

Ken: It was a great project and really nice to do something together. We have never met so we still need to shake hands someday.

    Cheers,
    Marcel.
