    Hi guys!

I have had this idea in my head for a while, and now the vignette is ready.
I have enclosed pictures of the whole process, including painting, so that you can see how the vignette came together!
Pictures of the finished vignette can be seen in the soon to be released "Nordic Edge 3"

First a couple of pictures of the mock-up.

Still early in the build and the figures have seen most of the progress, the rider has been converted and I have added the Kradmantel with the aid of Magic Sculpt. I have also added a belt from leadfoil, a photoetch beltbuckle and a ammopouch from a Dragon kit. The other figures are new additions and have quite a few steps left before they are finished. The standing figure will be wearing a mousegrey padded wintergarment, and the kneeling figure is wearing a zeltbahn over his uniform and equipment. The figure with the zeltbahn is in the progress of beeing thinned down because the zeltbahn is a tad to large for the scene.

This build is moving forward. The first pictures shows the scene right after the trackmarks had been applied with A+B sculpy and the white stuff is drywall compound (?, "Sparkel" in Norwegian), a bit hard to see the contures but they are there!
I have also added pictures of the figure set up, I have started to paint two of them and the last one with the fur hat has some sculpting left before I can start the paintprocess.

The last two pictures are of the vignette after the innitial coats of paint have been applied. I have also added decals and picked out and painted some details. The next step will be to add some filters, chips and washes to the motorcyckle, and continue to tweek it around until I am happy!

I have managed to get some painting done on the driver, at the moment he is missing his helmet and a slung rifle. After I have applied those details I will attach the figure to the base and sculpt the hands and add some more weathering!

Now the figures are attached to the base and only a couple of details on the figure with the fur hat is left.
I sculpted the drivers mittens onto the handlebars, and it was difficult! :) But in the end I am happy with the result! The camopattern of the zeltbahn was hard as well, and this is something I have to practice for the future!

The mud and snow is added, and the semigloss and gloss nature of mud and melting snow has been created!

First an overall picture of the scene, a bit out of focus but you get the idea!

Here is a closeup of the mud and snow.

Finished! As mentioned earlier, better pictures can be seen in the soon to be released "Nordic Edge 3".

I am happy with how the vignette turned out and Im looking forward to start a new project!

    Brilliant worrk

    Hi Sverre,

This is beautiful vignette, you've chosen the right Hornet head to add on the expression.
The mud and face are brilliantly done. A bit more sheen on the rider long coat will add more life... may be just lighting

    Happy modelling

I think its great. The only thing I would recommend,in addition to whats been said, is footprints in the mud. They kind of look planted in place as is. And perhaps a dirtier face on the rider.
    Overall though, well done!

I like your initial idea for this vignette and think you have pulled it off very well, very good conversion work of the figures as well as high level of painting, the groundwork is also very convincing and you can just imagine that wet slushy mud sucking everything into it.

    Great vignette,
