Here is some wip and the final for my preacher joseph figure. It is from GW Inquisitor line. Figure is 54MM

Painted this up for the 2010 competitions.
Painted with acrylics. Lots of washes and pigments for weathering. The base is scratch built with plaster of paris, stereo parts, brass and styrene rod and a plastic door from a wargame. Lots of detail painted in here. Tattoos on the neck and arms, check pattern on the cape edge and right sleeve and a worn gray pattern on the lower robe.

    Hi Scott,

It's good to see you on PF. Very nice painting on your figure!(y) I really like the detail you've added, like the tattoos, and lettering on the sleeve.
Keep up the good work! :D

What's next on your work bench?

    Very nice work Scott.
I see in your basework that there is something left from the electronic's in your sparebox.

    Hello Scott:

Wow, you really have a very artistic and creative approach to figure
modeling. I am so impressed. And I am eager to see more of your work.

Obviously from looking at your WIP/SBS photos you really get into the
scratchbuilding aspects of this hobby. And then you also have a good
sense of colour harmony. All your colour choices work so well in concert,
and create an overall presentation of interest, "eye candy" if you will,
    to the viewer. Well done.

I guess what I am trying to say is that your latest presentation shows
a definite "bent" toward thinking outside the box, as we Americans
like to use that "catch" phrase.

    Kind regards,

The Miami Jayhawk, down and defeated, by a team in Iowa??? :(:(:(:(:(

This is some very nice painting, i really like what you have done with the figure and also the groundwork, all ties in beautifully to make a great scene. I also like the fact you have created lots of different types of metals within the figure and basework, all done very well and very convincingly.

    real nice job,

    Steve(y)
