Thanks for the very nice words.

    Marcel,

I first tried to use the acrylics and paint it, without any metalics but that was a lost cause!! What I ended up doing is what I always do, I used printers ink.

I base coated it/breat plate with a Yellow Ochre type color, acrylic, then I used the carrier from Testors chrome silver and I mixed that into the printers ink. I then mixed the printers ink mix with some burnt umber oil paint. I then painted it onto the figure. Once this dried I then took Tamiya Clear Yellow and painted over the entire area. Once this dried I used burnt umber oils to shadow the breat plate. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can answer anything else.

Looks great Joe! I like the dark leather and your groundwork. Will I see this one in Atlanta?

    Hey Jason,

Thanks for the kind words. I don't think this one will make it to any shows. I did this one as a gift for a NFL player, he has been really kind/good to my kids, and he is suppose to be back in the St Louis area in the near future. He played here but was then picked up by the Buffalo Bills. He still has ties in this area. When he does get it I will post a few pics.

Nice painting Joe! Thanks for sharing. Will you be in Tulsa this June? I hope to see it down there.

Whoops, I see the last post. Your piece won't be making it to any shows. Well, I'm sure you'll bring something wonderful.
