    Exquisite sculpting but a wretched, low resolution picture, even when blown up. Could we see another photo or two please? I really would like to be able to study the sculpting detail - cos it looks like it is marvelous.

    another fantastic piece from La ruccia:eek:. I thought that I will give up painting 54´s and go only for 75´s mm, but when Soldiers came up with La ruccia´s roman aquilifer and they keep launching that artistic works I don´t have strenght to give up and don´t paint this fantastic figures ...;)
    Simply I must have this one.

    Ernest..:rolleyes:, it looks like a horse for you ? It is a big war dog , a mastiff, the romans ( and not only ) employed in war usually launching these fierce dogs against the enemy cavalry, nowadays these dogs still exist in Italy, they were saved from extinction more less 30 years ago, they are called " Cane Corso " a sort of mastiff lighter and more dynamic than the heavier Neapolitan Mastiff .. some pics :

    Beautiful figure and that is probably the best sculpted dog I've seen. I can think of a few people who are going to make a really good job of painting this one.

    There is only a question for my opinion .. is he a carthaginian or a roman ? He seems to be dressed as an aquilifer...:confused:
