    Mountain Man, 75 mm

Good day to all, I want to submit a new model rider 75 mm for the project "AuthorSculpt". Author Sergey Zlobov. Circulation is planned in resin, if be in time with moulding and casting for the New year.

The original post is here: http://modelsculpt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1200. I tried to translate as exactly as I can, but still... I hope it understood

    Here what he wrote:
"In this series have already been made two figurines of Trappers in 75 mm, but they remained in the Seilmodels in only one copy.
Material Magic Sculpt, some details differ in color - a Magic stained several types Milliput, terracotta, standard grey-green and black.
Harvesting of a very old horse, Apoxy I have ended more than a half years ago, and empty tin from it I used all this time and spend it on different posture until it was born under the trapper.
The model consists of 21 parts.
A small clarification from the history of Dzh.Hayda - authority on the history of the plains. Extract from the book "The people of Red Clouds", Chapter 4 th:
"... In the period from 1825 to 1835 he was a monopoly in trade with Tetonami (Sioux) had the American Fur Company (AMC), administering the affairs of its central post - the fort" Tekumse "(later fort" Pete "), in r.Bed mouth.
Policy of this company was trading with the Indians gathering furs for them. Although company bought a fur trapper from whites, but white trappers parties on Indian lands did not supported. On the other hand, in 1824, General Ashley and his partners removed huge amount of white trappers, leaving further west to r.Pauderi in the Rocky Mountains, opened the rich areas of furs, and brought in St. Louis so many more beautiful furs, that other traders could only wonder their success.
This "Company Rocky Mountains" (GSB) on the contrary has paid little attention to Indians, trying to maintain good relations with them, and sometimes trade their horses. They were all round year in nature, placing camps like Indians, and roam from place to place from the river to the river in search for good territories for trappers. Thus, for some years a unique type of Americans - trapper Rocky Mountains or Gore People (Mountain Man).
These people were in large batches or groups of two or three people, comb in search of beavers all corners Stunning mountains and plains, where make an opportunity to become friends with the Indians, and when it was needed - fought with them, showing incredible courage.
....... ....... Oglala (Sioux) quarrel soon with white trappers, and in 1840 trapper Rocky Gore held their last rendezvous. Some of them have left the country, while others continued trapper in small groups. Arts beavers was no longer profitable, but many people no longer able to live another life and remained in the mountains, trapper for a few, but after the end of the season usually still living in the camps of Indians......"

Excerpts from the almanac "Iktomi" for 1996. "
