    Greetings all:

dear friends, after the positive comments of my previous post, my friend of Rome has asked me to show you his other three new works.
The miniatures are in scale 1:24 (75 mm).
    Any comments are welcome. :)

-1) Mauritanian mounted warrior- The ALA FLAVIA GAETULORUM - the Dacia campaign, beginning the second cent. A.D..
    Source:
Column of Trajan (cavalry Mauritanian - presumably ALA I FLAVIA GAETULORUM - controlled by Lusius Quietus) Rome (Italy) - The subject is a modification from a Preiser's mannequin 1:24 (75mm), horse from Ares (54mm).
The hair had this characteristic red colour because treated with a particular substance mixed with hennè powder

Great idea to mix a 75 mm figurine with a 54 mm horse to represent an ancient small horse breed. It worked out very well.

The blood stains on the Thracian warrior are very well done. I find the face of this one a bit flat, the eyes are a little small, but maybe that's just me.

The scene with the secutor is magnificent, after all a gladiator who is not standing on the arena sand. Very imaginative and well executed.

    Hello Simone,

Your firend's work is very exciting. I love looking at his figures with their unusual subject matter and period. His conversions and painting also lend much to the excitement. (I know, the hair was made from copper wire...:)).

    Hi dear Victor,

my friend has a great love for ancient history, especially for
roman history. He realizes his subjects, which can not be bought in shops, after a long search for documentation. Some of its models were exhibited in the "Museum of Roman Civilization" in Rome

    Thanks for your beautiful words.

    Regards :)
