Cio Maurizio, I didn't meant to bother you with my questions for Sergey. Sorry. I have tried to post them for him but it seems he is not seeing them. Perhaps you know the answer. I'll appreciate the help immensely. I am trying to find out what rubber material Sergey used to mold the "dummy" in the SBS he showed us on how to make a mold of the human "armatures" so that many can be produced in short period of time. here's the link: http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23145

Hi Ilija - George - Vergilius and Hector
thanks to all for the visit in this old Post and also for the comments ;)

For Hector .... Not Problem for the your questions ....I have inasmuch as however Sergey has answered you .........
I hope of being able to explain correctly.
After to have realized a mockup of the just proportions..... it uses the method of the copy with siliconic rubber.
There are Siliconic Rubbers with many varieties and characteristics .....
the resin and the Alloys are used generally for straining within.
The variety that introduces Sergey and a Red Rigid Rubber..... used in order to strain the metal. and is enough rigid in order to press within of the Putty.
I hope to you it are useful.;)

    Saluti MAB :)

    Hi Maurizio,
I appreciate your explanation. I'll see what I come up with in my experiments with it. If I understood correctly, the silicone rubber (red rigid rubber) is used in the automobile industry to make a mold for metal parts? How does Sergey "glues" the back half of the FIMO figure with the front half for the finished figure model? Is this done by pressing one part against the other? Thanks a bunch.
    Ciao, Hector

I was thinking of using the green silicone readily available everywhere in the states. I will experiment and let you (and all those who have helped) what I come up with. I found a company that has a silicone which makes copies of the most intricate details: http://vagabondcorp.com/
