    Hello!
Guys, I want to show you my new work in progress. It is a Spartan Officer bust from Athens Miniatures. Sculpted by great artist Costas Kariotellis.
Face and hair are done in 99%. Helmet is almost ready, but I have to put gloss coat on it. More pics soon.

Artur just a question that I have. For the eyes...do you put an eyelash...of the lower part of the eye?? Or you going to leave it as it is?

    Artur,

Excellent work, especially the colour of the helmet. Great application of the non-metalic metalics!

I like very much the painting but seen the figure from the side it looks a bit skinny for a spartan.
    Great painting however

Nice one, Artur. Any chance you can give us a quick menu on the paints used for the helmet?

Dear Roberto hi . Icould help out regarding the skinny look of the Spartan, saying that ,the life code of Spartans was really strict and precise.Regarding , dressing, behaviour, family , and also food.

If you can imagine them throwing away the kids with birth problems, i guess is not difficult to realise that they would not add an extra kilo on them . Dont be influenced by the body builders look of the guys at the "300" movie. Spartans were most possibly on the skinny side , but well trained and with perfect physical condition.

This is also one of the best busts that are on the market , as much as sculpting , and casting of course

    Ciao

thanks for your kind words, guys.

Paul: I used yellow ochre with brown and black for shadows and yellow ochre witch titanium white for highlights.
