    Hello Thanos,

great work, I love the mouvement and the whole composition, reminds me of the old Derek Hansen piece but I like your horse pose even better.

Could you give some details regarding the uniform documentation, sources etc. and which horse you used (is it scratch).

    Best wishes

Thank You Very Much, All Of You.
It Took Me About A Year To Make What You See Here.

    Mark,
I Used Many Books As Sources. Andreas Panagopoulos, A Great Greek Figure Modeller Gave Me Some Old Rare Books About German Army Of The Period.
Dan Morton Sent Me Some Very Helpfull Photos Of Uniform And Equipment.
Bob Tavis Sent Me Some Very Usefull Links.
The Greatest Help Was The Tree Volumes Of "imperial German Field Uniforms And Equipment 1907-1918" By "sciffer Books".
    The Horse Is Apsolutely Scratch.

Thano, the pose of the horseman is really perfect as he balances on a galoping horse's back, as an experienced veteran calvaryman. I would like to see it painted.

Thano my friend, that's an amazing piece. I really like the movement you put into your figure... like the mongol archer. I can't wait to see this beauty painted. You go slowly but impressively with your creations...Well done.

I have to admit I think the base makes this piece. It could be just another Ulan on horseback, but with the detailed base you have given hin purpose! Nice stuff!

    Hi Thanos,

This seems very promising. You didn't miss your start. I also love the base. Very creative and it suits the figure well.

Btw, I remember that many years ago Derek Hansen did a scratchbuild of a similar figure, which was published in the Military Modelling magazine. Did you know that? Anyway, this is not a negative remark from my part as I'm curious how the end result will be. Thanks for showing us your work.

    Thanos,
I can only echo the guys before me. Excellent piece of work.
Now, pickup the brushes and paint it. I can hardly wait for the finish.
