Alexander the Great

    At last 2 years since I painted a historical figure now, after some adventures with big scale garage kits it's fun to paint again in smaller scale.
    I used oil colors over Valleyo acrylics and some pastel chalk on the groundwork.

    Excellent job, Albert. I like the color schemes and the shading of the face. I also like your use of chalks on the base. Very nicely done. Is the base scratch built?

    I bought the base in a figure shop , pitty the shop closed a few years ago.
    I have made the name plate on my pc and printed it out on 250g gloss photo paper.
    Next figure on my bench is the drummer boy from Young miniatures
