You know, Bart, just "putting your work out there" takes guts. It is sometimes difficult to show a lot of strangers a piece that you've slaved over for hours and hours. Don't let one pompous person get you down. I think you have done a very nice job with your shading and contrasting. It sounds like that one judge had just been yelled at by his wife, or something :lol:

Listen to what the others here are saying: I am only a year into painting, but many of the posters here are very seasoned professionals. They are the best judges in the world, some of them!

thanks for your encouraging words. I guess the guy just had a bad hair day or something like that.

It took me 8 months to finish so I know I put a lot of hard work and love into it.

So I've been thinking it over the last few days, my family likes it, my friends at the club like it and most of you here on the Pf like it. So, that's good enough for me :lol:
