Looks Great--How did you make the rivets on the Helmet with putty?Rivets in this scale or any scale always seem to elude me when i do conversions or sculpts. Thanks VikingRod

Rodney - Let me take a crack at explaining how I make rivets, buttons, or anything similar. I think I understand what Pedro did. If not, please correct me.

You can use the end of an empty ball point pen tube, a brass tube from a Hobby shop, any small and thin-walled tube. I use 7 or 8 different ones that I've just collected/found. You'll also need something to push out the putty from the end of the tube. A thin very strong wire works better than anything else. Note that I work (so far) only in 120mm, so what I'm recommending works for that scale, probably for 75 mm - 90 mm, but 54 mm and smaller - I don't know.

Use a roller to roll out a small amount of putty very thin to an even depth throughout the entire sheet. You can buy fiberglass or acrylic resin rollers from Dick Blick art store or other places and they work really well for this. Use a little talcum powder (little!) to keep the roller and the putty from sticking together.

Next press the tube down into the putty. You should get a quite small ball in the end of the tube. Push it out carefully with the wire. There ya go.
