While on the subject of Paratroopers, are there any thoughts about this book as a reference? I know you're at the mercy of the printer when it comes to uniform colors, but it looks like a decent reference.

There is also a second volume dealing with the remaining Allied forces.~Gary

    Hi

Funny but that is the book I am using as a painting guide. It's a small world.

    Paul,
A far better reference for anything airborne during World War II is "Geronimo!: U.S. Airborne Uniforms, Insignia & Equipment in World War II" by Bill Rentz. This is, without a doubt, the best and finest reference for anything having to do with uniforms and field equipment for U.S Airborne forces during World War II. You'll even find uniform items from well-known Airborne troopers, such as Frank Perconte's (of "Band of Brothers" fame, who is still doing very well in Chicago) Ike jacket. Even though it is pricey, going for $59.95 on Amazon.com, I swear by this book.

    Hope this helps ...

Pete, I have looked at that book and it is very very good, I just have not picked it up yet.~Gary
