I had been cleaning up and priming the Woodland Indians pair by Harton the past month or so. They are 90mm, metal and based on the painting Life and Death by Robert Griffing. So far i am quite impressed with the sculpt.. Reference the photos below of the standing North American Woodland Indian. He lloks fine in person, but the photos appear to make the arm seem quite thin. The kneeling figure is just as fine. Together they appear to make quite a set.

Anyone done these fellows yet...any comment on your adventure

I have this pair, too. Waiting to paint. And the arm looks realy thin. But the indians on the painting from Robert Griffing are a little bit "small" too.

I like figures based on paintings from Robert Griffing and I think, I will wait how you paint the figures and start then with my ones.

So I please hurry up with the painting :lol:

Hi Walt,
seeing your post draws my attention to another beautiful figure I see some time ago while visiting a (new) friend of mine. This guy was the author of more really impressive pieces, some of them carried out by Amati.
In this case, I'm referring to the 120mm Iroquois warrior, you can see below:

It's incredible how a bad/wrong picture can diminish a good piece. I see the original in resin and I was really impressed. To be honest, the same applies to the whole catalogue of Amati, seeing the pieces in flash you will notice that are absolutely another, different thing.

Hey, if you ran through the woods like these guys did, you would look a little thin yourself. Having seen you pack it away at Valley Forge, I suspect you will not be running from Fort #4 to Crown Point soon. By the way, way to go on the new job.
