Jim, I regret that I didn't get the chance to meet you there, I saw you a gazzilion times, I guess it just wasn't in the cards. But your right, take a step, meet someone new. It was just like you said, everyone seemed happy to be there and really wanted to make it a special day. I left my room to head home, I called my wife and said I'll be there shortly. I got off the elevator, met someone that chatted with me for a 1/2 hour, I went outside the hotel, met someone else, chatted for over an hour, took a few steps more and 45 minutes more. My wife called to see if I was alright because I should have been home by then, heck, I didn't even leave yet! When I got home I could barely walk, seriously, I was taking baby steps from being so sore, my wife had to help me up the stairs to get into the house  What a great time. Lets do it again next month!

i was there with my dad, but only briefly becasue the main intention of my trip to boston that weekend was to look at colleges. what i saw was amazing and inspiring to me to help become a better painter. i wish i had been around PF longer prior to the expo so i could have gotten to know some of you and met you at the expo.

I can only echo what already has been said, this was the show of all shows!! Everyone there was just great and it went really well. I think there was as much fun at the awards as there was at the show itself. :)
I do wish that I was able to see and talk to more of the guys but I will make up for it the next time!

    Jim,

Thanks very much and I am really glad that you were able to attend this one, now we will see what really can come from those brushes of yours.

I would really like to say thanks to Jaume for all the insight he has given myself and other on painting flesh, wow is about all I can say.

Now for my 2 buddies across the big waters, Ray and Stephen. Ray do not listen to Stephen about the clothes because we all know what is more important to him!! Here is a picture just for Stephen, enjoy!

I have to echo Joe's comments. It's easy to say that there are other shows, but the Boston Expo was special and unique because it was a one off.
It will be a long time before so many Europeans trek to an American show again, and a long time before so many Americans get to Europe.

And good to meet you Joe; the first face from Planet I recognised!

As I said at the show......the world got bigger this weekend! The show did wonders for our community!

I had a fantastic time meeting so many great people at WE. It couldn't have been nicer. I'd make a list, but I would probably leave out too many since my mind was a bit impaired between 11:00 PM and 4:00 AM most nights :)

Ok Ok here I am! After a long and tiring trip I'm finally in front of this chatter box.I will not be saying anything new but I honestly can't find words to describe this experience.Where do i start? The exhibits were of the highest quality allround. i have never seen so many great exhibits amassed in one place. Vendor area abundant. Flawless organisation to say the least. And the icing on the pudding being the so many new friends that i got to meet for the first time. I will not attempt to mention them all cause I will surely forget someone. I cannot come to terms with the fact that I was part of this truly out of this world experience. All you guys were simply fantastic. you gave us such a welcome that i never had the chance and honour to go through. if it had to be next month I'm ready to do it again . I only want to say a very big thank you to all you guys. i'm already planning to get back there again .

Joe , buddy , I love the picture

I think the double pleasure of so much terrific work in one place coupled with the chance of meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world made the event a once in a lifetime experience.

Plus the venue was outstanding, the city couldn't have been better and I got my maine lobster to boot.

Jaume, Frank and Rob, it was a pleasure to meet you guys. We all know and love Jaume's work but it pales in comparrision to his friendliness. Never before have I met such a truly great, humble painter. Ray, I'm still admiring your figures ;) . Sleeping Beauty.........  . So you finally woke up!? Great to meet all of you at World Expo and like Stephan said, if it meant meeting all of you all over again, I'd leave in a heartbeat to any part of the world. Thankyou for ALL the memories!

    Jim Patrick

As an added note, I'm looking forward to seeing what all my newfound friends paint now. All of you have always been so good at what you do but it means even more now that Iv'e met all of you. Almost like I can see you all at your desks painting or sculpting away!

Yes Jim, World Expo 2008 will be in Spain in a city near Barcelona called Gerone. The announcement was made in the ceremony of awards.
Seven members of "El Baluard" (the local club) made the trip to present the Expo including some DVDs but some problems of organization prevented us to do that as we wanted.
We expect you all in the 2008!

Ok it seems I haven't said enough..........just a brief bla bla bla as I was AND STILL AM tired from lack of sleep.............I've even struggled very hard to meet RALPH in the bathroom on Sunday morning round 03.30hrs after the awards ceremony ( Jim please note  ) and I just can't help but feel sleepy all the time, except on duty that is..........

I won't say much as it's been ALL said..........but as Jim noted so well.........neither modelling nor posting will be the same again, as I can envision everyone toiling away in their respective work shops, and actually "talking" to everyone of you I've had the pleasure and undying honour to meet............

I concur with my mate Steve, I'd be joining him in a flash if I had to meet YOU ALL AGAIN tomorrow..........you're ALL LIKE A NEW FOUND FAMILY for me :) ........

I have to end with this........Joe, you're like a long lost brother buddy ;)

    God Bless You All...........
