Hello All,

I´m sending you these two figures representing spanish soldiers in America.
The drum is from the Voluntarios de Cataluña in Nootka (Pacific Coast of Canada) around 1790.
I made the other figure for Art Girona some time ago. He is a soldier of Regimiento de Luisiana in the moment of victory at Pensacola the May 8th of 1781. This regiment was part of the command of the capable Bernardo de Gálvez that defeated the british at Mobile, Natchez and finally at Pensacola helping the independence of the United States and restoring the authority of Spain in Luisiana and Florida.

Hello all.
I think is a very interesting period in History.
In Pensacola, under Gálvez command, were spanish from Europe and America, including some black units, irish from regimiento Hibernia, some french and native americans. Under Campbell were american loyalist, germans of the Waldeck regiment and choctaws.
Spain seconded Fance in helping the American Revolution, especially with money. As a matter of fact the simbol of the dollar is derived from the spanish coins employed to pay the Washington Army!
