Here's the latest figure from Jon Smith. The figure depicts an officer in an action which took place in September 1918 and the kit provides part of the original combat report. It's a 120 mm scale resin kit of a Prussian 27th Reserve Infantry Regiment anti-tank gunner with Tankgewehr Mauser 13mm M1918 - the world's first anti-tank rifle, the so-called Elefantenbuchse or Elephant rifle. I think Jon's pics pretty much speak for themselves, so...

The bolt on the rifle opens and closes and 13mm rounds are supplied. The gunner is in a trench section (plaster) base with wooden revetment.

Yes, those are empty shell cases on the bottom of the trench!! - Did I just hear you say WOW?

Jon is also coming out with his second 54mm Poilu - this one is hauling rations. Also up to his incredible level of detail and accuracy. Check out his website - www.jonsmith-modellbau.com. He may not have these 2 figures posted yet, but will shortly.

That is an excellent figure. I love the weapon and all the little details, there's nothing like a figure with a lot of eye candy.~Gary

Very nice figure. Where is the best place in the US to find these figures? Again very nice figure. Brock

What I like the most in Jon Smith's figures is the tranquil and authentic look.

Nothing gung-ho or glamourous here. Just war and its grim business in an almost documentary style.

    Great, great figures. (y) (y) (y)

Dan,that's an AWESOME figure (y) (y) (y) !!! Like Quang said,it captures the horrors and mundane nature of war very well too. Kudos to the sculptor ! Any idea when it'll be released and what the "damage" will be like ? Cheers.

I left one out! Here's the 54mm Poilu on rations duty.

Brock - The Red Lancer is the one that Jon recommended to me some time back.

Just to whet your appetite for the next one, Jon's current project is a 2 figure 120mm scale German 08/15 LMG team with a large trench plaster base, complete with spare parts and ammo holders, etc. A cold, wet and muddy diorama, winter 17/18.

You'd have to pin Jon down on that one! He mentioned a "couple of weeks" in an earlier e-mail, but....

$44US for the ATG? I think he was debating about the price.

Worth the price and worth waiting for, in my humble opinion....
