    Hello everyone, I present to you my latest work; this Young Miniatures bust had been waiting to be painted for some time and I finally decided to do it.
    It was a very pleasant and at the same time challenging project, probably because lately I've been dedicating myself a lot to smaller scales like 1/35.
    Despite the boxart and all the various versions I've seen of this subject, I decided to represent the Anorak in the white winter version, and set the subject during the fighting in Norway in 1944.
    I hope you like it and if you have any questions I hope to be able to satisfy your curiosities.

    That is absolutely outstanding work. The face and hair. The whites, the bergen. Wow. That inspired me to do better.

    thank you all for the compliments, they are nice because it means that you appreciate the effort put in.
    As for the painting of the MG34 I used my usual system, which is based on a mix of Vallejo metallic colors and choccolate brown and Prussian blue.
    This serves to slightly remove the excessive glitter effect of the metallic pigments and to restore the burnishing effect with which the weapons were treated. Subsequently, always to the base compound, I add blue china inks, then sepia and black to wash and highlight the details.
    Finally I lighten the parts most exposed to use and rubbing with several touches of pure metal color. In short, it is much easier said than done.

    What colors did you use one the green of the smock? The shadows are nice and subdued.

    On second thought just give us (please) all of your colors. I just noticed the shirt cuff and the ice pick. Wow!!!!!

    Hi Todd, sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I've been a bit busy and then it honestly slipped my mind.
    First of all thank you for the compliments, then I'll see if I can remember well the colors used for the padding of the Anorak, also because maybe I'm forgetting something.
    However, broadly speaking, I can tell you that I obtained the base with a mix of Japan Uniform WWII (V117) + Russian Uniform WWII (V094) + Khaky Grey (V113)
    For the shadows I added various amounts of Russian uniform + Field Drab (AK11344) to the base to increase the green tone; as the last shade I added small amounts of German Camo Black Brown (V150) to the previous mix.
    For the lights, on the other hand, always with the base mix, I increased the color with Khaky Grey and Grimy Grey (AK11008)
    V=Vallejo Colors ;)
