One side of the flag. I think the red and blue are ok but no doubt they’ll be revisited from time to time. The white? I always seam to struggle with white. The gold embroidery has been base coated with AV English Uniform.

Red, white and blue all with oils. I’ve just started on the white. The pic above has my oil palette and scribbled out above the palette is the various paints I’ve used. Still a fair bit to go.

A bit more colour on the flag.

the gold is a base of AV English Uniform followed by the first metallic coat - AK1192 Old Gold. A first wash was applied - Army Painter Dark Tone, thinned 50/50 with water.

Thanks Nap, but the masking was just so I didn’t get my grubby fingers on anything. I need somewhere to hold it .

Lovely work on the flag better; this is going to be deeply impressive when finished.

Finished. At this stage at least. I’ll revisit when it’s in the hand. Photographer I’m not. It’s a bit awkward getting it on the right angle and juggling the iPad at the same time.
