Finally finished this project , I got a bit carried away with a few things . I thought it might be fun to have some siege type weapons instead of just rolling the marbles so now we have a Boombastick and a Hephastus Hammer all imaginary . I also thought it could do with more colour so the grass , paving stones and shields over the doorways . My granddaughter stayed last weekend and she played for hours.

Well that's it other than to say I enjoyed doing the heraldry design work so much I'm going to try a painting a figure again , something I haven't done for a long time .

Very nice work Gordon, especially since it provided an extended period of interaction with your granddaughter.
I look forward to your next heraldic project.

    Cheers,

Great looking game. My long suffering better half suggested last week that perhaps we do something together, she asked if I had a figure she could try painting. Half an hour of rummaging in the stash of my laboratorium, we've decided to use a diorama I started about 15 years ago...

It's nice to do something together.

Hi Andrew this is not the first project I have done for my granddaughter . I have built houses and painted a load of 48mm figures for an O gauge train set we have out at Christmas . She spends hours playing with this , infact I'm enjoying this area of modelling more than anything I have done before as someone else is getting enjoyment from it it's not just setting on a shelf
    .
    Great do it (y) .
Hi mate believe me she has many ideas of what she wants and what granddad can do . I think the next thing is a farm in 48mm to go with her O gauge train set , although a lot of things are on hold at the moment as I have to clear my mums house out to get it on the market as she passed a way recently .
    Thanks everyone for your interest

My granddaughter of course , she makes up the rules as we play so I'll never win but this has been the situation with all the women in my life :D:D
