So the years past & yesterday I completed painting this original sculpt in time for ANZAC Day.

I’ve still to base him up on a custom base also made by Phil.

Been stored away for way too long.
Just started sorting out base materials for this coming weekend.
Photos maybe a bit big, could give false impression of detail you can actually see on figure at 120mm 1:15-1:16 scale. However good knowing it helps tell his story & shows detail I've tried to incorporate in my painting. Sometimes wonder if I've tried too hard to include lots of various effects, important getting feedback from others to get a sense of what can be seen & put my own impressions into context.

Should have Captain Phil in a new display case by time you come over hopefully, also got a house move soon, closer to where you visit.

Hi Andy my friend, wanted to make sure I complete as many of the Work in Progress projects in the book before it comes out.
Took awhile longer to get Captain Phil to this stage & trust now will be able to effectively display him.
Small niggles about how to pose him, but will resolve that with some fiddling around this weekend.
