Me too, I still have the leaflet that came with the halftrack. The way he weathered the vehicles with dry- brushing. It was the start of my hobby

Fantastic progress Matt! Shep would have loved this. I was fortunate to be visiting Shep at his house with a couple of friends when he was working on some of the Monogram models. We were sworn to secrecy :) but it was truly inspiring.

    Cheers,

I wish! Actually, I was in my mid to late 20s, more or less. (y) It was a great time to be in the hobby.

Nice job on the OD, Matt! It's nicely modulated and subtly varied, not overblown. Great progress!

    Prost!

Crikey, the wingspan on the B-24 model must be well over a yard, maybe 3'6"... even if setting that diagonally across, that will be a large base board. Lovely neat work on the plane, it's coming along well.

And a WOW! from me .....the insignia look great .....as does the plane ...like the panelling on it ...that's a piece that should be in a museum when finished for sure

    Look forward to seeing more

    Happy benchtime

    Matt,
Have you considered the 8th Air Force Museum in Ga. as a home for your dio? They have a great museum and a lot of info on the 448th. My Dad was in the 417th Squadron.

Impressive beast of a dio, I love it! That's an excellent scenario, looking really good. The interior, plus the foil tape damage, figures, rigs and all. Can't rush perfection no matter how long it takes, lol. I love the punch list too, btw.

I have to do that as an aging guy- gives me direction when I say, "Now what was I doing?"

The plane is about done, excepting final weathering. Next up, about two dozen figures. 6CD5FDD9-E4CC-459E-B327-BBEF771E304D.jpeg 44B236A4-5BFC-4346-A6D8-DAA975864951.jpeg 7B3B733C-41B5-40CF-9175-5B4E10469A59.jpeg 36AE97E1-6294-49C4-932A-2220CF77CED5.jpeg FD0EEEB2-7522-40CB-8060-6A7DC5EA0A17.jpeg 7579E107-47E6-4153-BC93-8DC54B81EE4A.jpeg B7CF2617-AA7E-4524-8926-B61D80F49330.jpeg AD7F8545-83CE-4810-878F-6AC8532175B9.jpeg 9EBE4950-C112-457B-8AEE-EC34DA209E58.jpeg
