The unterofficier is the first to paint. I look forward to the camo.

The sculpting and poses are fantastic and I Will try to put them together in a sort of diorama later on.

Looks like there's more than one John Rosengrant sculpts in there!

Nice figs, I have a few of those myself. One thing on the unterofficier. He has the absolute tiniest head of any 1/16 figure I have or have ever seen, and I have about 200 of them. Its a great sculpt, but I had to replace it with something a bit larger.

A nice haul of figures there. Such a shame that this range went OOP.

I've heard it said that the owner of the original masters had no interest in selling them on after S&T ceased trading and that they were just left to gather dust and get knocked about in a cellar. Which - if true - is a real shame and a terrible waste, leaving anyone who really wants them now faced with the unpalatable choice of either sourcing Chinese knock-offs from online auction sites or paying daft money for originals on the rare occasions that they come up for sale.

Such a shame these figure are no longer available to buy, they were ahead of their time with their quality of sculpt and casting.
Very rare to see so many original copies in one place, you did well to get all of those kits.
    Cheers

It's all true, I have been in touch with the person who owns these masters/range. They are sitting in the basement in a corner gathering dust. He is not interested in selling them and if he did he (I was given a hint) would probably ask in the north of $50,000 USD. An astronomical price for a range that has not seen the light of day in over 10 years. If he was asking $5K it would sell, but not at $50K. In this kind of market, at $50K the buyer would never make their money back. Ever.

I agree $50K is an astonishing amount, especially since the recasters have saturated the market with their copies so they are available cheaply, maybe he will see reason and release them at a reasonable price before they become redundant and forgotten.

At 5K I'd even be tempted to take a punt on them myself! But you're right, 50K is crazy, pie-in-the-sky money.

Any figure by the master John Rosengrant has to be a classic, I hope you have fun painting your figures.. I'm lucky to have a couple of what you have and a few of his sculpts for the Warriors brand which are also no longer available...
If the owner of the masters purchased them.. for what ever $ amount, it makes no sense to leave them in the shed.. and hinting at asking that much money for them after all this time he must be living in a bubble...

Nice figures that certainly call to make a scene.

Frankly pal, I do not see that happen. I believe he would rather have them in the landfill.

Excellent line-up, standing by for this one, I'm in!

I sure wish I has the forethought to purchase a lot of kits from S&T way back when. Hindsight is crystal clear!

What a shame! They put Verlinden to continue in that vein.
That scale seem more popular now as Busts!
I want to add the legs!
