he has many names, Baphomet, Satan, Lucifer ... etc.

He is the ultimate powerful god, the one you don't want to meet, his eyes are seeing each and every fault, any mistakes, any deviant move, HE is the master of any nightmare, of any horror, of any dirty wish ...

whatever you'll do : HE will overcome, whatever plan you'll think of : HE will laugh ...
From his Throne HE's watching everything , HE is watching us poor humans, HE was an angel, the fallen one ... HE will rise again !

let's put some colors on this :)

so Here he is, sorry for the poor picture but it was too late for a good light today.

basically i painted him inverted (upside down) in order to inverse all lights and shadows
i first applied "Blood red" then i added progressively pure yellow and finally the "highlights" were painted using "whitesands"

obviously there is stil a lot of work before completion :)
figure is a 3D Sculpt from ZBBoy that a friend printed for me during the holidays.

Not a big fan of these subjects, but looks like a great start! I am very interested in these non-orthodox techniques, like inverting the zenital light to give a different perspective to the figure and convey a different emotional message.......keep up the work and keep posting the WIP, will follow with interest.

    Nice work,
the sculpt and ground feature reminds me of the 'Underworld' movies 1 and 2.

this week-end i managed to have some good times at the bench :)
i defined better the burning effects by coming back and forth from reds to highlights still playing with the three original colors (blood red, yellow and whitesands)
i worked with glazes on his clothing in order to give some hues on them but i want to keep them dark and i played with true metals golds on his belt ...
still lots of work on him but the main concept is in place now.

i think the burning from the inside effect is there, what do you think ?

Fantastic work so far Franck. I really like the "burning" effect that you are creating. I wonder if the white highlights are a bit much, as he's not literally on fire?
Oh, what size is this Franck? (Don't say 54mm....;-) )

thank you Henk, regarding the "white" it's because, in my twisted mind, he is literally like burning ... got the idea while watching the Netflix show "Lucifer"
regarding size wellllll its' .... 75mm ;) on the small side, in real he is more 70mm, and even after looking carefully it's impossible to paint his eyes ... so they will stay black

    cheers

I like the black eyes. Much more sinister than the usual red.
