Anyone familiar Verlindens" Greed"? It's a three figure pirate scene that I've been sitting on forever. Trying to stoke myself back into action into some sort of creativity, so I started this piece. At least the put together and planning stage...... Back to my roots.

I feel free.......But self satisfaction is the name of this game....and that's good enough for me.

P.S... Besides that, I'm no techy wiz and I give two shits about learning. Yes, I'm a geezer.

Yes, that's the one. But there is a third figure that was made to fit on the existing base where the chest lid is called "Long John Silver". Somewhat interesting concept with some modifications. Hope it gets to the point where I lay some paint down along with stirring up some mental dust. Scale is 120mm and pretty well sculpted for an oldie.

That should make a very nice vignette.

I presume this is the third figure that you have:

This should be the one with Long John Silver.

That takes me back. I painted "Greed" way back (20+ years ago) when I was returning to the hobby after a very long lay-off. I never bothered with the Long John Silver companion piece though, and the vignette ended up binned years ago after getting damaged and I decided it was no longer of a standard (and so not worth the time) repairing it.

I also did the "Buccaneer" (no. 1041) at around the same time. I still have him, but as one of my early efforts he's no longer of a standard to be in the cabinet.

Keep us posted of your progress.

Well, I kept some of my first realisation of the 70ies painted with Humbrol as reminder . Pirate we say ..
From Monarch, by Sanderson and in a dio set from the early production of Verlinden when the name was DCS, in plaster ( figurines from him came some years later ) other accessories were from Historex

With the guy and the lady, there was a navy officer standing behind ( but lost him somewhere )
    I named the dio :

" When you are ready Mr Christian ...."

I don't think I would even consider doing this piece without the third figure. Adding a peg leg and a few other modifications along with color options gives me a bit of creativity to hopefully stoke my motivation.
