Over a grey primer I painted on by brush Dark Star Baroque metallic.I then paint Over the entire armour with Lamp black oil paint with bit of Burnt umber mix.I then remove the oils with kitchen towel.I let this dry for 2 days and applied a thin coat of Tamiya Smoke which tends to leave it a bit too glossy,so I applied a thin coat of Valleyo satin varnish. When it's all dried I highlighted parts of the armour with the Baroque metallic paint and increased the recesses with the original oil mix..

The secret I found is to a) Buy one of Brians figures, b) study it intently, c)practice, and then d) hope you can get close to the masterpiece in front of you. I'm currently on D.
