    Hello all,
I present to you my latest painting, representing a female samurai, "demon hunter".
I bought this 3D print from ODA Models, a Spanish company that produces busts, figurines, animals and plinths.
The figurine is large in size, like a 1 / 10th bust.

I would like to give some explanations on the process of modifications of the characters which originally looks like in this photos :

To make my character more like my outlook, I wanted to make some changes. I started by removing the headdress, which in my opinion looks more "geisha" than a warrior, I find it hard to see a fighter with a headdress. Then I resculpted the hair that was done with a lot of locks and hollows, I wanted them smoother. The ponytail in the back has been removed and reshaped to be positioned on the left shoulder to leave the back free for a freehand.

The stockings were also sanded to remove the sexy side of the character, I remain in effect on a concept of warrior. The flower patterns on the kimono have been sanded lightly to allow me to paint only certain outlines and make kinds of arabesques on other parts of the kimono in order to obtain a more sober clothing, more able to go to a fighter.
Finally the base has been completely redone, I used textured plastic card from Green Stuff World to simulate a tatami mat.

I hope you will like this work, I remain at your disposal for further details if necessary.

I like Your interpretation of the figure a lot more as the "original". Very well done.

Not sure the Japanese would approve of the tattoo, but stunning work. I cannot find a fault and an improvement on the standard figure - makes me think on Blade of the Immortal Manga.
    Beautiful.

Thank you David, it is true that the tattoo has nothing to do with a Japanese tattoo .... I tried to project the character in a fantastic world where demons come to life and where warriors fight them ..... from there, I got a little carried away by the tattoo, I admit.

The Tattoo is terrific. I just meant that, although tattoos are a traditional Japanese art, they were, and to some extent, still are considered taboo, being associated with crime and the Yakuza. Your young lady may therefore not be too welcome in polite society - maybe that goes well with her interest in swords:LOL:.
