    Hello Folks
I'm preparing some display models for the Telford Show on 13/14th November. This one is a 75mm French Napoleonic 8pdr gun team on the move. Sculpted by Carl Reid using a 3D cannon and limber produced for me by Steve Crisp at Darkstar Miniatures.
I have added the mounted officer & trumpeter to the front of the team but their placement is at the discretion of the modeller. The resin base provided for the gun carriage & horses is 19 inches long.
For anyone attending the Telford Show I will have only a few full sets available at the special show price of £325.00
If anyone is attending the show and wishes to collect one there then please email only on gordonmi@hotmail.com
This set is a big undertaking for any modeller which requires a fair amount of modelling skills and time to assemble and paint. I'm not the best of modellers and spent the best part of 3 days assembling and photographing it. The set will be made available as separate parts in time but I will make a further announcement once I have cast sufficient sets for general release.
I hope to have some other new models available for the show where I will be manning the RDG stall with Tommi Worton so if you are attending come and have a gander.
    Cheers
    Gordon

The sense of movement is just superb and in the hands of a good painter, this will be a museum piece.

    Brilliant!

    Superbly animated and sculpted.

    WW1 French version:

    British WW1:

There is a superb piece of coloured film of the RHA galloping their guns along a stream and into a field from Peter Jackson's WW1 film 'They shall not grow old', but it doesn't appear on youtube although lots of other excerpts, including a mass gathering of tanks, are available.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but a Gun and Team has always been one of those pieces that one could only dream about having in the collection, I seem to remember Hinchcliffe releasing one way back in the day, however the fact has been clearly pointed out that a kit like this is a labour of love and I would not have the time or the stamina to see it to completion so I will just have to rely on one of you dedicated modelers to carry this through and post the finished result on PF, well done to all who played a part in creating this beauty.

I remember the British 6-horses-gun-team with a 18 pounder and limber from 1916,made by Hinchliffe/Calder Craft.I have the French Horse artillery gun team of the guard with the plastic base, bought many, many moons ago in the late seventies and it layed in my cellar, painted with Humbrol.....the gun was made of a myriad of parts.(y)

Love the dynamism but am I the only one who thinks this looks like three midgets on very big horses?

That is an impressive looking piece. Painting wise, I'm not sure I would live long enough to pull this off.

You are absolutely correct. Horses and figures are not in the same scale.

French Artillery draft horses were quite large ideally up to 16 hands and heavily built, slightly bigger than those the officer & trumpeter.

Deep pockets, a lot of free time and a huge passion for French Napoleonics required. But an amazing and ambitious release nonetheless.

    Hi Gordon

When you release you sure have a impact ......a impressive piece and one not to be taken lightly both in construction and painting ...but WOW!!!

That's a lot of resin and a good price for what's in the box

    Thanks for sharing
