Dear friends and colleagues ... important news for all fans of historical figures in white metal!

The sculptor Vladimir Danilov begins the production of his author's figures in the size of 54 mm (1/30 scale) in white metal together with the company "Chronos miniatures". The figures will be produced by the Chronos miniatures foundry!

A separate catalog under the brand "V. Danilov" will be created on our website, which will feature exclusively the author's figures of this respected master!

We are starting a joint project with a series of figures depicting the 42nd Highland Infantry Regiment "Black Watch" at the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815.

And this is just the beginning!

The figures will come out in small blocks of 2-3 figures.

The first ones are coming soon …

The sculpting, interaction between the individual soldiers, painting and presentation are just ... I'm lost for words!

I have the complete set of these figures and can only say they are stunning in every way in regards to dynamics, quality of casting and sculpt detail. One thing I did like is that they are slightly bigger than your average 54mm which is great for me with my ageing eyes.

I'm ever so slightly confused.......aren't these already available in resin ?(Apart from the trio including the sapper, which are First Legion metal)
I obtained mine from Castle Miniatures via Steve Kirtley's website. Very fine castings they are, too.

Fantastic diorama; well put together and super painting. Interested in the individual pieces as something this size is beyond me. I have seen some under the Castle miniatures banner but still interested,

Read it carefully. We will produce and sell these figures only in white metal. In resin, they are released by Castle miniatures.

Agree with the others here...the original resin figures are faultless. Hopefully the metal
versions will be just as crisp and sharp. Good luck...........hope they do well.

Very nice display. I just wonder if it is more a fierce struggle at Quatre Bras than Waterloo being depicted. The 5th Lancers were at Quatre Bras and the 42nd were heavily engaged there ,with reference made to members of the regiment being killed and wounded by the lance. Particular mention should be made of Captain Menzies of the grenadier company who received 17 lance wounds before collapsing. He went on to live to an old age and supposedly told how 14 of the wounds were mortal.
At Waterloo the 42nd were in Picton's division a fair distance from the 5th Lancers in Pire's brigade on the extreme left flank of the French Army.
The composition though of the turmoil of battle though is very good.

This is a great piece right up my street but to small for my old eyes a real shame

Another fantastic offering by CHRONOS. I agree with lightbob. This is more appropriate for Quatre Bras than Waterloo. I just happen to be reading the Quatre Bras chapter from Ian Fletcher’s Waterloo book ‘A Desperate Business’. It is stated that the 3rd Line Lancer Regt. Was engaged with the 42nd at Quatre Bras.

Did some more checking with references. It appears that the 5th & 6th Lanciers de ligne were at Quatre Bras. Not the 3rd as was quoted above.

This is a version of what happened at Quatre Bras a few days before the major fight at Waterloo.
It should be remembered that all the Highlanders in this range by virtue of their 'tufty' epaulettes
    are Centre Company

There is a stunning new vignette about to be released in resin ...pop across to
Vladimir's Facebook page to see it . It'll probably find it's way into this metal
range before too long, but if you can't wait......
