I've made a start on a flat figure of the above regiment based on this illustration by Patrice Courcelle but I could do with a bit of assistance.

Despite being an admirer of Courcelle's work a couple of things are bothering me,
    a. The colour of the waist sash, my references show a medium blue colour.
    b. The rank insignia on the sleeves look to me as if they are upside down, the chevron should be above the ring around the sleeve.

I'm sure M. Courcelle is only human like the rest of us but are these errors or am I missing something? The other possibility is this isn't a Voltigeur of the Guard.

Roger in the Andre Jouineau book 'L'Armee de Napoleon 111' it shows the sash as blue and the rank under the chevron.

Rob, thanks, that particular book arrived here on Saturday and is one of the reasons I'm querying the Courcelle illustration. I think I'll go with Andre Jouineau and do a bit of scraping of the rank insignia.
