"Here is the first painted figure for the vignette and the fictional, but possible, back story."

    Getting better and better, Ken!

The Cheyenne is amazing, the groundwork is absolutely great, and the picture background is just fabulous!

    Cheers!

Absolutely cracking modelling on that base .....looks so natural and as Peter says ..." will set off figures beautifully"

Many, many thanks guys! After looking at my photos and seeing the figure blown up, I want to go back and do a few touch ups (never satisfied :) ). However, since my wooden base + groundwork weighs a couple pounds, maybe I'll leave well enough alone. :)

    Cheers,
    Ken

I'm just loving this , so much going on with the ground work and figures . I'm surprised we don't see more Master Box figures on here as they are so very well priced and well sculpted . When I use to attend Hinkley Model Show there was a chap who used Budgie and Canary feathers for his Native American figures which were brilliant .

That was probably Pete Barnacle - a very skilled modeller and scratch builder. I hope he's still about. Last I heard he was running an antique shop in Matlock.

Thanks Gordon! Interesting idea on the feathers. Mine are just paper and wire. :)

    Hi Ken,
Great painting, It's hard to believe if we did not know that these are only 1:35 scale. Skin tones, buck skins and accoutrements all spot on.
    Cheers Richie
