    Hello Planeteers,
here is one of my current projects...the mandalorian and baby yoda.
I’m actually well along with the project but neglected to post the project. I started with a hallmark ornament of Mando and a 3d print of Grogu.

I stripped off the ornament with isopropyl alcohol. The floating pram is made from an egg I bought at the dollar store cut down, and detailed with bits of styrene plastic glued on and contoured with Miliput. I made some crates and a door for the diorama from styrene. I attached the pram to mando’s cape using square brass tubing so it “floats”. AA54E360-BC11-4196-85E4-BD06EA5563D1.jpeg

The start of the base. It’s cut from xps foam insulation board and textured with a crumpled up aluminum foil ball. The bottom piece has a sheet of styrene plastic underneath and styrene strip around the side. After gluing up the pieces, I coated the whole thing with hard coat Mod Podge mixed with cheap craft paint. The piping is made with styrene tubing and leftover sprue trees from model kits (I knew I kept them for something!) 70E42D42-91E4-45B4-ABC3-47C7A2428318.jpeg

More pipes and “greebles” added. I made a mold using 2 part mold putty of the stormtrooper helmet from a very old 1/15 scale Kaiyodo resin kit I have. I first tried Miliput in the mold which was ok but not great. I found up resin at my local Michaels and that worked very well. The uv resin helmets are hollow so it was easy to drill holes for the bamboo skewers I used for the stakes. The skewers were carved up a bit to give them some texture.
